A renovation of a historic private city club originally designed by John Russell Pope. The project transformed the former men’s reading room and adjacent offices into a great room with a bar, grill, and reception area. Upholstered walls, deco-inspired booths, and a Greek key–patterned abaca rug update the 1920s architecture with a modern sensibility while preserving its classic club atmosphere.
